The Smiles Begin

Piper is starting to work on her social smile. Mimi wins the prize for making Piper smile the most so far!

 It is so difficult to catch those sweet but brief smiles on camera, so Mommy tried to make a video. Not sure if I caught a smile or not, but I caught Mimi trying to sing Sir Mix-a-lot like Rachel and Ross did on "Friends." Unfortunately, Mimi doesn't really know the song...

Social Butterfly

Piper's social calendar is already filling up now that she is allowed around more people! Piper was very excited to take lunch to Daddy and hang out in his office a few times in the last week.

Piper also had a visit from two more amazing ladies.

And of course, Mimi was back again!

Piper even got to go with Mommy for lunch at Newk's with some Mustang friends. Even though Piper was really looking forward to this lunch date, she couldn't manage to wake up the whole time! But she looked very cute dressed like twinkies with her bestie Kinley Rae.

Happy Birthday, America!

Piper had a great 4th of July weekend! Grandma and Grandpa Hoyer came to visit, and Mommy and Daddy are so thankful for a weekend of sleep. Of course, Piper had a super cute outfit for the holiday.

Grandma and Grandpa Hoyer couldn't believe how much Piper had grown in only two weeks! Mommy and Daddy still think Grandma and Grandpa will be Houstonians before too long!

In fact, Piper has grown so much that Mommy has already had to take some of her newborn clothes out of the wardrobe rotation. We did a little weekend fashion show to make sure we got as much wear out of the outfits as possible.

The Amazing Jillby Wrap

Aunt Jill made us her version of the Moby Wrap, and Piper loves it! Mommy thinks it might be the greatest invention since sliced bread! We had lots of fun trying it out around the house.

We cleaned house for Grandma and Grandpa Hoyer's visit.

We washed bottles.

And we vacuumed!

Mommy can't wait to take Piper shopping in her Jillby Wrap.

A Great Visit!

Another very special day for Piper! Great-Grandpa Love came over with Great-Aunt Teri and second cousin Nicole on Thursday. Mommy was so excited that not only did Pa hold Piper, but he let us take pictures! Pa also gave Piper a beautiful locket that is exactly like the one Mamaw gave to Lily, who is the first great-grandchild. I know Mamaw would be proud of Pa's shopping skills!
