38 Weeks and Counting!

It's unbelievable, but Piper has made it to full term! We're all breathing sighs of relief to know that our little one should be here safe and sound within the next 2 weeks!
We were sent from the doctor's office to the hospital Wednesday afternoon just to monitor Piper's vitals and Krystal's blood pressure. Everything came back completely normal, so we were sent home after almost 2 hours. I guess Piper won't be sharing Mimi's birthday after all! Of course Grandpa Love's birthday is Thursday, so you never know... Whenever she makes her grand appearance, we are all ready for Miss Piper!

Her name is on the wall (made by Aunt Jill) - so cute!

The safe, breathable bumper is installed & the crib mattress finally arrived.

The glider was delivered and is ready to rock.

And Sunny has tested out the tummy time mat and baby ocean adventure gym.

 

We're just glad Sunny isn't trying to take any baby toys outside with her at this point.

Thank goodness those mats are washable!



We even got to see Cousin Kamryn graduate from pre-school on Tuesday. We're so proud of her and excited that she'll be attending kindergarten in August. I'm sure Uncle Brent and Aunt Jen would agree that she is just growing up too fast!



More Baby Showers

The next baby shower was given by Krystal's cousin Nicole and her aunts Teri and April. Nicole opened her beautiful home to us, and we had a great time catching up with family and family friends.

Wow! We all got another tour of the amazing McDonald house when Jackie opened her home (especially Bill's man cave) for a wonderful shower given by Jackie, Sharon, Terry, Faye, Renee', Katy, Lisa, Carrie, and Katie.

The decorations were so cute! Each table had a theme from a book and a stuffed animal, including titles like That's Not My Monkey and That's Not My Dragon. Jackie also made several baby blankets and diaper wreaths that served as both decorations and gifts for baby Piper.

It was great to see so many good friends who all can't wait to meet Piper!

Yay! Piper actually made it to the last shower without making an early appearance. Aunt Jen, Dina, and Donna set up a fabulous shower in Grandpa and Mimi's game room. They even had a ding dong cake from The Bake Shoppe!

Aunt Jen made the most adorable decorations, like a diaper cake, a diaper tricycle, and diaper flower arrangements.



Friends, including the Chichester Gang, and family made this shower very special.

Kamryn was so helpful in opening and showing off Piper's gifts.

 

Jill brought Krystal a big surprise - Lindsey! Krystal taught Lindsey in freshman English and as a cheerleader for 3 years at Cy-Fair High School. It was so great to see her home from USC for a few weeks before she heads off to New York to work for Seventeen Magazine.

 

We are so very blessed to have so many friends and family members who love baby Piper so much already that they want to celebrate her impending arrival many times over. Now we are very ready to meet this precious little one and bring her home to meet everyone! No rush, but we're ready whenever she is.

Cypress Ranch Baby Showers

The Mustang Cheerleaders gave me a sweet baby shower at school in February. Lauren and Jerrica organized everything, and the kids had a great time celebrating baby Piper!

The next shower was given by Miss Buchner and the Classics. Each Classic brought baby Piper a precious outfit - yes, that means we went home with over 50 new outfits that day! It was amazing!

Then the Cypress Ranch English Department threw us a beautiful shower at Jill's house. Jill and her mom Diane put everything together with cute decorations and yummy goodies to eat, and Nikki picked out the most delicious giant cake I've ever had!
